International Wine Diploma Level 3

Course information

This advanced online programme focuses on the theoretical knowledge of wines from around the world.

It is designed to prepare students for the International Wine Level 3 Diploma issued by The Sommeliers Academy. Through in-depth study, students will explore the culture, geography, climate, markets, and trends of the world’s key wine regions. This high-level course goes beyond basic knowledge, offering comprehensive insights into each region’s history, terroir, appellations, and grape varieties.

 

Entry Requirements

Applicants should have:

• A basic foundation in wine knowledge.
• At least two years of professional experience in a wine-focused role within the wine trade, hospitality industry, or equivalent.
• The ability to undertake independent study and research before, during, and after the course, due to the advanced nature of the content.

ASI Certification 1 and 2

SASA Junior and Certified Sommelier, SAZ Certified Sommelier

Court of Master Sommeliers Introductory and Certified exams.

Achieve a qualification comparable in level to WSET Level 3, with selected topics reaching WSET Level 4 standards.
