This course prepares students for the ASI International Sommelier Diploma exam, dealing the stress management, technical skills and client management. Duration 1 day + 1-day exam
This course is for Students who have already gained SASA Certified Sommelier or CMS Advanced level (or equivalent) along with at least 5 years of experience. WSET Diploma (or equivalent) is also advised due to the intensive knowledge of international wines and spirits required. All candidates should have a strong knowledge of the international hospitality industry as well as good knowledge of water, tea, coffee, beer, sake and modern food preparation techniques.

The ASI Sommelier International Diploma is the highest certification in the ASI world. It crowns the most talented sommeliers of ASI member countries. The exam takes place on a single day once a year with the same question paper presented to all candidates worldwide. The ASI Diploma must be taken in one of the three official ASI language: English, French or Spanish. If you take the exam in your native language, then you can only be awarded the bronze level, as long as you reach the required pass marks. If you take the exams in a foreign language, achieving the required pass mark will award you silver level. Passing the exam with an exceptional distinction in a foreign language will grant you gold level.
You need to be a SASA member to sit the exam, or a member from another ASI national association.
